I know that stories can change, reports can conflict, and that "facts" can be fickle while a situation is unfolding.
It's just not making America any wiser by reporting the stream of consciousness as the event unfolds. It's ridiculous.

it wasn't *THAT* long ago (less than a decade) where being wrong on this grand a scale would have cost a dozen people their jobs...
