Unlike under our last (Republican) president we are not going to up and invade/occupy/baby-sit a civil war in another country that had nothing to do with the terrible terrorist attacks here at home. Law enforcement is doing its job, and I have no doubt that out current Chief Executive will see that justice is done in these cases (Boston and ricin letters.)

(68,918 posts)I miss that man, and the calm and straightforward delivery he had.
I semi-wish Clinton was in office... I wished so badly he was in office on 9/11.

I really liked the 90s in general. I was young for one thing, but really who at the time would have thought those were America's salad days? Then came Florida/Bush/9-11/Iraq War of aggression/Katrina disaster and on and on and on. That horrid decade, the 00s. Things are slowly getting better I suppose.
Anyway, I am rambling.

(12,482 posts)I generally like but am often disappointed w/Obama, as I was with Clinton. but I am so glad that neither Bush nor Cheney nor Romney nor McCain (primarily because Palin would be waiting in the wings) is anywhere near the executive, national security, decision making center of power while Americans are blown up in America and poison is sent through the mail..I have seen how the other guys handle that.
