People kept saying this was a global event. Well, now there might be some connection with Russia. FWIW Putin offered to help us so at least the Cold War won't start up again.

The main thing a government can do is protect their citizens, so we need a helleva lot more security in this country

This ain't no fun and games.

Millions and millions of people live within 100 miles of that area.

13. Why should people from a country ravaged with genocide, destruction and rape resort to terror?
Fri Apr 19, 2013, 06:57 AM
Apr 2013

And yes, the Russians committed genocide in Chechnya. At some point they started regarding all Chechnyans as resistance-fighters and in some villages they just rounded up all adult males and executed them. All of them. Indiscriminately.

Is Chechnya a good place to live?
A decade ago the Russians waged all-out war there.
In the last elections Putin won narrowly, but he got more than 90% in Chechnya.
Go figure.

tearing down a great leader to bring back what was before is quite a silly tactic, one has to admit. What good did the protesters of Gorby end up doing?
