We will see this through, said Tommy Nee, head of the Boston Police Patrolmans Union. We will find the person or persons responsible.
Shaken fire, police, and EMS union leaders described heroic tales today of first responders who leaped into action after yesterdays dual bombing on Boylston Street. They stripped their personal belts off to make tourniquets, Nee said of emergency crews at the scene. They saved lives.
In addition to the reward firefighters and police set up a relief fund for the victims.
Donations can be sent to the Boston Firefighters Credit Union website at www.Bosfirecu.com.

Good solid investigative work by union employees has gotten very close to solving a MAJOR crime in a matter of a few days. I am humbled and amazed by law enforcement response to this event.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
