I for one do not believe that all of this is for one individual -

or one small nuclear family. Blackhawk helicopters and the military are called in for several reasons, none of which involve one lone 19 year-old and his helper or two.

This is very serious and stretches far beyond that which is being reported by the MSM.

It's rare that we actually get a chance to pull out all the toys and why hold anything back when resources are at your disposal?

Just look at how many cops respond to a single nut with a gun holding hostages. He's outnumbered a hundred to one at least.

killed 3 (so far) people and wounded a hundred and fifty.

This IS very serious--and that's why. There's no need for anything "more" than that.

What, we should let this nut wander off, and pick him up when we get around to it?

One way you deter people from doing this kind of murderous shit is to hunt them down like the dogs they are--actions do have consequences in the real world. That's why we pay taxes to fund police/FBI.

Sheesh.

I myself have been listening to it off and on. They have a 60-70 yr old man who appears to have a bomb a dead man's device in his hand. Last I heard prior to going for lunch is they were approaching him with 4 bomb robots. I don't know, however, if he is in any way related to the marathon bombing.

It could well be this small, insane group. But the police, like DU, doesn't know what it doesn't know. Look at all the speculation here. You see a physical manifestation of that in all that weaponry. I don't mind it as long as they use it carefully and wisely.

We know what we know... not much, actually. We may not ever know all about this if this second guy gets killed. If that happens people will start making stuff up which will certainly be BS.

That doesn't serve anybody or any purpose. It's okay to say, "we may never know."

Just my feelings about these things.

1. Whether these kids are a part of something bigger.

2. Whether the kid is in a fortified safe house.

3. Whether there are sympathizers looking to join the fight against the cops.

4. Whether the increased hardware has devices and capabilities that the ordinary cops don't have.

5. Whether there are more bombs planted here and there, waiting to be detonated.

And a lot of other things.

Luckily, people charged with protecting us don't try to answer these questions with their "gut" instincts.

If the guy is lying dead somewhere it could take awhile for someone to stumble across his body. I'm not saying that has happened, just that it seems possible at the very least. There was also at least one report that he was wounded before getting away.

It doesn't seem the reality is sinking in that these guys aren't armed with only guns but explosives, as well. And we don't know everything the FBI/others know. The cop telling the reporter they wouldn't be there if they knew what was going on tells a very large story that something really bad is happening.

Edited to add:
The Aurora shooter booby-trapped his entire apartment with explosives and that's just one guy.

That the older brother was armed with explosive devices means its not inconceivable that the younger is as well.

I believe the escalation is probably warranted now, even if its still unclear if there's greater involvement with more other violent suspects.
