You wouldn't pay a penny to keep them alive because you'd call it socialism. Enjoy your pizza.

Crime rates started going down about 15 years or so after abortion became the law of the land. When people have reproductive choices, children are much more likely to be born into supportive families than unsupportive families.

I always try to check the photo contest threads out, since I usually really enjoy them. How did I miss that one?!

13. This country has an economic problem...

So many of these issues are tied to the current state of our economy and the disaster capitalism of the free market.

So many individuals are working class poor, exhasperated by little or no health care which allows many mental health issues to go unnoticed.

Stacks of bills paid for by two or three low paying jobs, a deliquent mortgage or back rent coupled with the stress of no way out is a recipie for a meltdown.

A breaking point is reached and different folks react in many different ways.

Unfortunately I see no end to this disaster in the near future.

I pray and hope for a solution and there will be no one else hurt, however until then; I blame this squarely on the individuals who impose their economic policies on tens of millions of Americans.

Such as our Supremes and their Citizens United decision rendering any attempts at democracy just a joke. And then there's Global Climate Change...y'know, droughts, floods, heat waves, super storms, changing agriculture zones that keep changing lowering yields and predictabilities...all the while we keep pumping huge amounts of greenhouse gases into our environment as the seas start advancing higher...Yeah, America has certainly got problems that keep getting larger and more menacing to reduce let alone solve/cure. These two, Climate and Citizens United are my two real biggies.
