I just had the displeasure of setting up Windows 8 on a girlfriend's computer.

Powerful, but NOT fast.

8. Willy dear: Do you have a solution to my subscription with AT&T U-verse?

Other than switching carriers? I would certainly heed your expert opinion. I currently have service for bundled phone, cable and internet with AT&T. The other options in my area are not much better. In fact, they are probably worse, in terms of service.

I really appreciate for your expertise and your opinion. As I stated before, I am not technologically savvy. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated. - Fleur

Run the speed tests, and the "settings" tool... see if you are defeating yourself.

Make sure all "Get high-priority updates" are up to date... if not, download and install.
