(73,630 posts)So, someow, I doubt if this pink gun idea is going to help fix the problem.
The gun nuts will still be just as nutty, only they'll have flashier hardware:

(1,456 posts)I know you said that in jest, but I remember the experiences I had at a paintball yard.
First of all, the paintball guns we had weren't very accurate. I figured this out early, and took advantage of it. I was moderately effective in the open obstacle rounds.
When the "woods" option was open, I was pretty good at going for the outside and almost immediately "killed" the opposing guy who was doing the same thing I was trying to do. He was noisy. He actually looked surprised that I got him, when he was so easy to hit!
I continued to sneak up, and managed to get in behind "enemy" lines and fired at them multiple times from behind cover - not concealment - cover.
That was when I was convinced that the accuracy was off - I had several shots available with lots of time to aim, and I missed. I adjusted because I could see where my shots landed although they were all over the place - I took the average. I had to change my position to another tree, and still took several shots before they actually registered where I shot.
I think this is premium problem, and the problem of paintball accuracy must be addressed before any other gun control positions should be addressed.
Oh, and just in case -

(16,950 posts)It made me seriously LOL. You might have a point. I had a pink phone for awhile. My brother asked to use my phone at a football game and when I handed it to him he winced and looked very uncomfortable and cursed the color. I think you're on to something!
