FL boy, 13, accidentally shoots sister, 6

http://touch.sun-sentinel.com/#section/1098/article/p2p-75785198/

An evening of being home alone ended Saturday night with a 13-year-old boy shooting his 6-year-old sister at their Oakland Park residence, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

The girl was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where she was listed in critical but stable condition, said Dani Moschella, Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.

The agency is investigating the circumstances of the shooting, "but it initially appears to be accidental," she said.

Bugs me every time I see the headline/story that so and so "accidentally" shot so and so. Just consider the sequence of "accidents" needed for this to happen. A gun had to be accidentally be available, the gun had to be accidentally loaded, the gun had to be accidently pointed at a person, and the gun had to be accidentally fired.

you don't give to your kids. Aspirin you don't give your kids. Alcohol you don't give your kids. But guns and ammo, sure, give that to your kids.

Why the fuck aren't these gunloons getting the message and locking the fucking things up if there are kids in the house?

Is this Darwinism in action, dead kids removing their bozo parents' DNA from the gene pool? If so, the price seems steep.

but children die everyday from gun violence and congress refuses to act on provisions to limit gun violence all because of the financial power of the gun lobby and their ability to lie to and frighten uneducated gun owners.
