bombers immolate themselves and are encouraged to do so. It sounds like cremation isn't ideal but its not going to stop the partying in the hereafter.

In these awful videos that show the killing of a prisoner, even the stoning
of someone, they then proceed to mutilate the corpse. Disgusting, but
just don't understand how they can justify one and not the other.

for instance, many Jews do not believe in creamation either, due to the religion itself, and because of what Hitler did to the Jews in the gas chamber and the association with ovens.

When it comes to religion, one needs to remember there are many different religions practiced, and all have their own rules and regulations and some have different depending on what branch of religion they believed in. And some have no religion too.

The family has been given the remains to dispose of by whatever legal means they see fit.

Until and unless the state of Massachusetts passes a law that says that only the state can decide how terrorists' remains are disposed of, that's not going to change. And such a law would never pass constitutional muster.

Islam forbids cremation. And it's nobody's goddamned business how the remains are disposed of as long as it's legal.

Because it sure sounds like it. How completely inhuman and unamerican of you.

What are you - 5 years old?

I'll tell you what - you and your buddies who are so eager to desecrate human remains get right to work to pass a law that permits such a thing. I'll be watching. Good luck with that.

Why don't you go tell an Orthodox Jew he or she should be cremated because it's what YOU want for them?

What gives YOU the right to dictate how someone else's remains are disposed of?? How about I get to decide how your remains are disposed of, and NOT YOUR NEXT OF KIN??

Well, I don't think he was actually buried, but we did throw him in the Arabian Sea.

"Traditional procedures for Islamic burial was followed," said one e-mail, adding, "The deceased's body was washed (ablution) then placed in a white sheet. The body was placed in a weighted bag. a military officer read prepared religious remarks, which were translated into Arabic by a native speaker. After the words were complete, the body was placed on a prepared flat board, tipped up, whereupon the deceased's body slid into the sea."

Since they probably wouldn't accept my suggestion of boiling the body in pig fat to send a message to future terrorists.

If they buried him in Massachusetts, the earth would puke him back up.

I wonder why they released the body to the funeral home if they didn't have a burial location?

They could have left him at the morgue until a place was found.

I feel bad for the funeral home director.
