A man who told police that he had a pipe bomb in the back of his car to blow up his ex-wife has pleaded guilty in Sarpy County to unlawful possession of explosives.
Preston H. Steele, 49, is set to be sentenced for the felony in July.
As part of a plea deal, prosecutors dropped a charge of possessing an explosive device.
According to an arrest warrant, he was pulled over in Sarpy County last June, and his 2002 Ford Mustang was towed.
