(Puerto Rican heritage, which means, probably, of mixed Taino/African/Spanish colonial ancestry). Her father has the same feature; consdering the family background it's a sign of Native American ancestry.

Reading the story, she seems to be a genuine mental case. I think we can all understand how she got that way. I'm not saying that she should be let off the hook for trying to kill her kid, but damn...

(6,597 posts)According to 19 Action News Reporter Lydia Esparra, Gina DeJesus knew the man suspected of kidnapping her and holding her captive for nearly 10 years.
Family members tell Esparra that Ariel Castro was a relative of DeJesus' best friend, possibly her father.
He's also been to at least two vigils for the missing girls.

(13,985 posts)Im also not going to be surprised when more family members will be indicted. I find it hard to believe only the 3 brothers knew of the three women and the child living in the house. Obviously close family knew, they just lie so they wont get in trouble, IMO.
