So you want to see the results live of the South Carolina Special Election between Republican Mark Sanford and Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch but do not know when to turn on the television or start refreshing twitter? Have no fear, we here at PolicyMic have all the essentially information that you need to know to catch the results but not watch dead air filled with talking heads from CNN, MSNBC Fox News.
The polls close at 7:00 P.M. EDT tonight for the special election. Results will then start to be counted and come in. The South Carolina State Election Commission has a handy website that will be updated with the vote totals as the results come in.
We here at PolicyMic will do our best to keep you updated if a winner is called early or if this becomes a nail-biter of an election and goes on late into the night. No matter what happens this will be an exciting election.

Well, if they do not add the two together I would say it is election FRAUD...

(11,862 posts)2. Why is she listed twice both as DEM and WFM?

(24,689 posts)6. Thats so rediculous.
GOP messing with the electoral process again.
Colbert Busch received the endorsement of the Working Families Party and that is why she is listed twice. South Carolina is one of the few states that allows fusion voting. This means that the DEM and WFM votes will be tallied separately and then combined to form a total for that candidate. So, it is not election fraud or a republican conspiracy; her name was listed twice, a likely benefit.
Hope this helped ease your fears and answer your question.
