(17,194 posts)given all the wires and stuff I saw in the background, is this the safest thing to be doing so far from the nearest 7-11 where you could pick up another fuse?
I know. I probably worry too much.

The closest I've ever been to zero-G was on a morning flight from Dallas to Atlanta when we hit a little turbulence and I got to watch an entire Bloody Mary levitate in mid-air before things got back to normal and it landed in my lap.

(24,376 posts)A wet vac relies on gravity for the water to drop out of the airstream, right?
I read this article that talked about numerous funny things that happened inside the experiment boxes sent up - like spiders trying to make webs and such.
The things we take for granted to work on earth just simply don't up there - like a wet vac!

(51,076 posts)coming in from the east when we came over the mountains we hit an air pocket and lost 300 ft elevation. I was in a window seat and it looked like the plane was flapping it wings. This was way back in '68 and we were in a 727.
I hated flying into LA because of the air turbulence we'd hit.

(6,335 posts)Wiki:" Water has a high surface tension of 72.8 mN/m at room temperature, caused by the strong cohesion between water molecules, the highest of the common non-ionic, non-metallic liquids."
The surface tension made it stick to his hands and the soap surfactant would reduce that surface tension which would make the water break away from hios hands I think.
