The eldest of three women held captive in the Cleveland 'house of horrors' has told police how she had to give a fellow captive's newborn daughter CPR as their alleged abductor threatened to kill them.

Michelle Knight, now 32, says she saved the life of Amanda Berry's daughter after she was born by giving her the kiss of life.
The girl, named Jocelyn, was not breathing and Castro allegedly told her that if the baby died, he would kill her mother.

=snip=

Castro also made sure Jocelyn - his daughter with Amanda - did not know the real names of DeJesus or Knight - because he didn't want the young girl to repeat their names in public.

Knight told investigators she fell pregnant five times, but lost the baby each time. She said she was starved and repeatedly punched in the stomach to force her to miscarry.

We know that at the time she disappeared, she lived at a house on Walnut Avenue. The police report said she suffered from a mental condition. She was also the mother of a young child, who was taken by Social Services.

Family members of Ms. Knight, who is still reportedly in hospital, have also spoken out, saying that the ordeal has left her traumatized.

and this piece of shit who kidnapped her took away any chance she had to live a better life as an adult. glad she has the brother but it seems like she doesn't have what the other 2 girls have in the loving stable family they are familiar with.

Michelle Knight is still being treated for anxiety at Metro Health Medical Center tonight. But Monday reports that Michelle is hospitalized, for possible reconstructive surgery, to heal injuries suffered at the hands of her attacker during her decade in captivity.

Michelle's grandmother, Deborah Knight, confirmed the information, telling 19 Action News: "When she was severely beaten, he had beat her so bad in the face, she has to have facial reconstruction, and she's lost hearing in one ear."

Records obtained by Carl Monday investigations show Michelle may have faced physical abuse before she was kidnapped. Records show David Feckley was charged and convicted in the early 2000's of child endangerment, for breaking Michelle's infant son's arm. He served eight years in prison. But a rape charge was dropped when the alleged victim, Michelle, couldn't be found. Of course, now we know where she was: on Seymour Avenue.

Michelle wasn't seeing visitors today, not even her family. Yesterday, her mom, in from Naples, Florida, met with Michelle briefly at the hospital. But a relative told us the meeting was strained, and Michelle asked her mom to leave.

the other 2 girls knew and had that they are going back. i'm kind of worried about michelle knight a little more than the other girls. if she was a young child it seems like it would be easier.

but what does a woman in her 30s who experienced what she did do ? how do others help her and who helps her ? it's making me really sad thinking about her situation.

I fervently hope that a compassionate advocate steps up to the plate, whether it be a nurse or a social worker, that can help her find the resources to help her navigate her horrific ordeal, her family, the investigation, and the mental health system.

And if it were me, I wouldn't appreciate my family members running their mouths to the press.
