So there's a crazy Right wing CT that Dems want to buy up all bullets.

I just heard about it on Rachel's show.

Imagine a crazy theory like that -that Obama wants to buy up all the bullets so that gun proponents won't have ammo! LOL!

There are some real nuts out there! Who would come up with such a batshit crazy theory!?

Has anyone here on DU every heard of such an idiotic idea?

52. Coburn Pulls Gun Amendment That Flirted With Obama Conspiracy Theory
Thu May 9, 2013, 10:56 AM
May 2013

SAHIL KAPUR MAY 8, 2013, 1:00 PM

Shortly before a floor vote Wednesday afternoon, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) withdrew his amendment requiring documentation of ammunition and firearm purchases by federal agencies, his office and Democratic leadership confirmed to TPM.

The measure appeared to flirt with a conspiracy theory popularized on fringe blogs that the Obama administration was buying ammunition so that ordinary Americans would have less access to it on the open market. The problem: even the National Rifle Association said the theory was based on fiction.

Coburn’s office told TPM he didn’t buy into the theory, and simply wanted the measure in order to enhance government transparency and combat waste.

Coburn’s other gun amendment to the water resources bill, which would allow people to carry guns in water areas like lakes and camp sites, is still scheduled for a vote at a 60-vote threshold in the afternoon.

Thu May 9, 2013, 06:19 AM
May 2013

it's too bad President Obama doesn't do this.
It's a great idea and The Great Equalizer, Mike Bloomberg and the 800plus Mayors against Guns should do this.
Being that President Obama's team is Gabbie Giffords/Mike Bloomberg/Joe Biden and Mike has money to spare, it would be a great idea.

But I won't ever listen to Rachel or the guy they demoted, can't think of his name after their fox-like attitude after the first debate.

I only listen to Al Sharpton, he never lied to me.

A better idea though is to reinterpret the 2nd.
I myself don't find it "NUTS" to want to eliminate bullets from private individuals in the streets of this country. If bullets were eradicated, then one can keep their gun as a hobby collector does. After all, baseball cards don't come loaded with ammo.

after all, the sheriffs in the wild west actually did that. They banned all guns from the streets

If they can and it was legal, then why can't they do that now?

What is nuts is the extremists going to march with fully loaded bigggg guns from VA to DC
They are looking to provoke.
Those people should be spit upon.

only law enforcement should have bullets on the street, and only when they are on duty.
When their shift ends, they have to be locked up at the precinct.

Clever is clever.

People don't like the 48 ounce soda take away, YET, just yesterday Coke now has said worldwide it would better advertise as to what is in their REGULAR soda's admitting they have not been straigght forward
48 ounces=problems later on

Just this week, Gov. Christie has admitted he got surgery to attempt to lose weight.
If he don't cut back, he knows what the democratic doctor said will come true.
That berating by that doctor was like a slap in the face and finally woke him up.

Same with cigarettes

Dreamers dream and someday dreams come true

Unless one is overthrowing a government, what does anyone need a bullet for?
Hobby? Time for a new one.

reinterpret the 2nd just like the last four rulings were-reinterpetation

AND make sure the Corynin poison pen don't come back, or if it does, base it on NYC law.

Clever is knowing the USA is the worst gun culture nation. Time for something different.

One can also buy out gun shops, and buy out arenas and convention centers that have gun shows. The owners do NOT have to give a permit for them.

Money talks and it's time for the NRA blackmail to end.
No individual needs a gun unless they are official law enforcement of all types

Zimmerman proved what happens when you give a vigilante a gun.

Not to mention your decidedly "purist" views on gun control. Having several gun-owners in the family, your view is precisely the kind they point to as to why they go extreme in the other direction. The fear that reasonable measures are just a "step #1" of a more sweeping prohibition pushed by absolutists.

If they banned bowling balls, I would play ping pong
If they banned Fox and MSNBC and all other political media and that included Al Shapton, Life in America would be alot better off with just say Dan Rather and the 630 news.

If Zimmerman had been packing a ping pong ball, Mr. Martin would be alive and well and living in Sanford.

A person who is honest would change hobbies.
a criminal would stockpile after a law is changed for criminal purpose

Isn't the purpose to stop mass shootings and solo killings done by people with guns who are not on duty law enforcement?

But, I don't whine if it don't happen.

Anything President Obama wants is fine by me. If nobody else says so, then nobody else says it.

41. The problem wasn't
Thu May 9, 2013, 10:21 AM
May 2013

that George Zimmerman had a gun.

The problem was that he persisted in his stalking of Trayvon Martin even after he was told to stand down by 911.

Zimmerman could have been armed with a tank, a cannon, three AK-47s, and a nuclear bomb.

If he hadn't decided to be a Hero that night, nothing would have happened.

Or...he could have been armed with a kitchen knife. He could have struggled with Trayvon Martin exactly as he did, and plunged the knife into his victim's chest or throat.

Martin would have been just as dead.

What's the difference between a person killed by a gun and a person killed by some other means?

50. Zimmy shot someone coward style.Mr. Martin was killed by a coward with a big weapon
Thu May 9, 2013, 10:52 AM
May 2013

A coward would have to have a bit of daring to actually get close to stab someone
Guns make it easy for cowards and guns can kill many in seconds
Why guns are the method of choice for most mass killers, and
guns are 100% the cause of everyone who dies or is hurt from a gun

and as judged from the Kitty Genovese case, she was stabbed multiple times over 30 minutes before she died. Stab wounds are not generally as fatal as gun wounds

and guns have those wacky tricky bullets that zing and zoom and careem all over

Not only did a coward shoot John Lennon in the back, the bullets caused so much damage
he was dead without a chance for the doctors to do anything.
Little weasel coward loser who only did it to become famous.didn't even have the guts to do it in a fair arena. Him and Zimmy and all the others.

Guns owners have dealt away their cards to reasons. They don't advertise it, so they don't need it for home protection.
People who want home protection have alarms, and those people have signs warning the alarm is there.
The protection is to get the perp or hater to go to a different home and leave them alone
But gun people don't do that. Makes no sense.
Is the object to get someone into their range and then use it?
Why wouldn't someone want others to know and not bother them?
Why have it then?

4. No nutter wants to run out of ammo when the revolution occurs, so some buy too much.
5. Ammo stocks dip even lower, so ammo manufacturers take advantage by raising prices. That feeds the panic buying by dimwits.
6. Ammo stocks dip even lower, so ammo manufacturers increase production and prices.
7. In the future, all the dimwits and nuts will have several lifetime hoards of ammo. They stop buying, and the ammo retail market enters into oversupply and crashes.
