They can't seem to be able to fathom the idea that they were fearful for their lives, were tortured, raped, beaten, mentally abused..
but hey, let's all just wonder how these women couldn't have escaped, basically saying something is wrong with them for not doing so. Cause you know, we all gotta just fucking wonder, we can't use our fucking brains.

The guy was a sick twisted, controlling individual and I was making a comment about those, who couldn't fathom how these women did not escape.

(7,570 posts)this "Stockholm Syndrome" does not apply. In Stockholm, the captives were held 5 days. DAYS.
These women were in chains for 10 FUCKING YEARS. Went outside twice in 10 years. This is so beyond Stockholm that to even use the term is outrageous.
