Ariel Castro served cake and dinner on anniversary of victims' abductions

The three women held in the Cleveland house of horrors were treated to the repulsive annual ritual of being served cake on their “abduction days.”

<snip>

And their alleged twisted kidnapper, Ariel Castro, marked the anniversaries of their abductions by serving dinner and a cake, the cousin of one victim told The New York Times.

“He would celebrate their abduction day as their new birthday,” the relative told the newspaper.

this fucking monster.

They can't seem to be able to fathom the idea that they were fearful for their lives, were tortured, raped, beaten, mentally abused..

but hey, let's all just wonder how these women couldn't have escaped, basically saying something is wrong with them for not doing so. Cause you know, we all gotta just fucking wonder, we can't use our fucking brains.

it's twisted and controlling, to offer adbuction day cakes, no?

The guy was a sick twisted, controlling individual and I was making a comment about those, who couldn't fathom how these women did not escape.

this "Stockholm Syndrome" does not apply. In Stockholm, the captives were held 5 days. DAYS.
These women were in chains for 10 FUCKING YEARS. Went outside twice in 10 years. This is so beyond Stockholm that to even use the term is outrageous.
