question everything

Would he have asked the same question had his name been Campbell?

Yesterday I came at the end of a news conference in Cleveland where the police rep (I think) answered questions by reporters.

The last question was: "Is he (Castro) an American citizen?" The answer was: "I don't know."

Hence my question of the title..

most papers are of the broadsheet variety; news/headlines/pictures of the Castro bros are covering the front page. (I live on Vieques Island, a small 5 mi wide X 21 mile long, island off the SE coast of Puerto Rico itself. Returning home to Massachusetts the 31st of this month)

My point is: had their name been Campbell, would anyone have asked about their citizenship. Why would anyone assume that someone by the name of "Castro" may not be an American citizen.

Hint: Julian Castro, the keynote speaker at the DNC and the mayor of San Antonio.

my response was meant for the knuckle draggers who need to ask the question and might even still ask the question upon learning they are Puerto Ricans.

Simply dumb people.
