Regarding the Jodi Arias trial: UPDATE - aggravation phase CANCELED for today. New date: May 15th

Here is peek at HLN's Beth Karas' reporters notebook. She details what to expect from the aggravation phase:

Prosecutor Juan Martinez’s opening statement
Defense’s opening statement (if they choose)
Martinez puts on evidence: Dr. Kevin Horn (medical examiner)
Defense puts on evidence, if they choose. (This is not expected.)
Instruction on the law by Judge Sherry Stephens
Martinez’s closing argument
Defense’s closing argument
Martinez’s rebuttal closing
Jury deliberates. They must decide if the aggravator of cruelty was proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

Even heard Stephanie Miller & Marcia Clark yukking it up over the radio on the topic.

Other idiots on CNN were indulging in phoney outrage over the "possiblity" that Arias

might "make a bundle" off the her story, while she doesn't even know if

she'll get the right to LIVE and those vultures are doing EXACTLY that now.

She won't be able to profit from her story though. I will need to do the research but the talking heads here in Phx were discussing by law she can't profit from what has happened.

If Arias is convicted of any crime related to killing her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, she may have trouble cashing in because of an Arizona law.

Arizona has a "Son of Sam" law that prevents convicts from profiting off the publicity of their crimes.

However, Cook warns that Arizona's "Son of Sam" law may violate the U.S. Constitution and may not be enforceable based on other such laws that have been overturned around the country.
