I was thinking of the case in Sweden.

(45,850 posts)now in that one the sentence was reduced because the person was under 17 when he committed the crime, still not very just IMO

(12,618 posts)Well, I know who I'll be writing this week. Note to everybody, one of the best things you can do for a prisoner of the state is to write them and let them know you support them. Donations to commisary funds are also really good.

(20,899 posts)brave. Moreover, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is so hallowed and cherished, big brother will be obliged to assure the punishment fits the crime. A monetary fine sufficient to cover the cost of any damage/repair and 30 days in the slammer sounds about right and would serve to teach them and any other aspirants a good civics lesson.
