Ben Gazzi's Gambling Problem

I am incredulous when I turn on my t.v. - radio and am now daily bombarded with Ben Gazzi. I mean, O.K., plutocrats, I get the message. Chomsky is right, you bastards own the media and they will play whatever you tell them to, as often as you tell them to.
You control the media narrative. However, as Occupy pointed out to you, THE PEOPLE CONTROL THE STREETS.
Ben Gazzi was a losing game for the republicans in the general election. But like a compulsive gambler, they keep coming back for more after having lost everything, not seeing the others at the table rolling their eyes.
People forget so quickly, this is the exact same game plan they played with Bill Clinton. (Who, despite my being one of the far left in an increasingly right leaning Democratic party, I still revere and thank for the best years of my life. It was Bill who let me live the American dream- if only for a while.)
News flash, repubs. People these days are worried about hanging on to their two jobs, and being able to see a doctor when they can no longer work. Your Ben Gazzi bumper sticker sloganeering means nothing to them. Even in the prosperity of the Clinton years, the targeting of the Clintons angered the American people enough to turn the house over to democrats.
Back then we could afford to pay some attention to a titillating scandal. Then after it was all over, the inquisitors admitted they had been paid to lie by a nutcase billionaire from Pittsburgh, and there was not a stitch of shame among them for the damage they caused. They simply were playing the same game here in the U.S. the C.I.A. uses to bring down foreign governments the plutocrats don't approve of.
The only hope for the rethugs is that Obama or Hillary get a b.j.. At least then there would be some comic relief from the spectre of economic woe, before the ax comes down on the thugs in the 2014 election.

Written by Bobby Troup.

Who was often seen doing bit parts on many TV programs into the 70's, often on Dragnet where played bad guys, or on "Emergency!" where he played a physician with his wife Julie London as the ER nurse.

Female lead was Peggy Lipton.

Interestingly, speaking of Mod Squad, there were quite a few known actors who played parts (from IMDB).

Lou Gossett Jr.
Sammy Davis Jr.
Ed Asner
Julia Adams (Creature from the Black Lagoon)
Nina Foch
Gloria Foster (The Matrix)
Richard Pryor
Tyne Daly
Richard Dreyfuss
Fernando Lamas (who always looked marvelous)
Martin Sheen

And a myriad of other character actors who many would recognize immediately.

Thanks for the Mod Squad response. Never watched it much. But checking whether Julie London played a part brought me to a bit of a treasure trove on IMDB.

of Kerouacs biographer. Said Jack was really pissed about the "Route 66" t.v. show as they ripped off his book and he didn't get a cent out of it.

It was a great show, though.

with you! I think whatever plutocrat is pulling the strings on this is basically throwing a power freak tantrum. It seems to me to be very poor strategy.
