Yesterday morning it was 36 in the Chicago area and later today they're predicting 85. This is Colorado-type weather.

previous record here was 43....happy lettuce in the garden, but shivering tomato plants (still fine - as long as we didn't hit the un-magical 32!)

Due for a solid week of mid 80s starting tomorrow...

A few years ago...2006 or '07...the temps hit 100 on May 1st and did not drop below 90 till fall.
THIS year has been cloudy, rainy and very cool, since Jan.

I had to turn my furnace back on last night. Felt so good--the house temp had gone down to 61. Too cold for me!

"Sunday morning, we shattered a record low when we dropped to 33°. Today, we look to at least tie the record high of 91°!"

And it snowed last week, in May.
