Reid Charges GOP With Hypocrisy Over IRS Outrage

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) on Tuesday accused Republicans of hypocrisy for being outraged that the IRS targeted conservative groups, pointing out that GOP lawmakers didn't appear bothered when the agency targeted liberal groups during the Bush administration.

"What the IRS did of course is inexcusable. But this is not the first time we've seen this," Reid told reporters. "It wasn't long ago that the IRS inappropriately targeted the NAACP, Greenpeace and a California church that was really progressive called the All Saints Church in Pasadena, California.

"It was interesting," he said. "At that time, we didn't hear a single Republican grandstand the issue then. Where was their outrage when groups on the other side of the political spectrum were under attack?"

such behavior. Let's get real here. The lopsided accountability is part of the problem and I'm not going to sit by and not insist that the GOP get called on the carpet for the blatant and continual flaunting of the law that they have engaged in since the Nixon era.

the media seem to have turned into a mega-Fox "News" organization since
President Obama was elected. Actually, since President CLINTON was
elected. They are quick to repeat lies that tip in republicans' favor
without doing any fact checking.

The Democratic Party couldn't React FAST ENOUGH to condemn and run away from:

* ACORN,

*Move ON (over "BetrayUs",

*Van Jones

*Shirley Sherrod & NAACP

*Eliot Spitzer

*Don Siegelman (Democratic Governor, Alabama)

*Cynthia McKinney

*Anthony Weiner

If you fall anywhere to the Left of Ronald Reagan on the Political Spectrum,
don't expect any help from the Democratic Party Leadership if Conservatives decide to attack you.
The Democratic Party Leadership will either remain silent,
or join the Republican Dog Pile.

they can really sink their teeth into and lo and behold the media is right with them all the way. The media is so two-faced it is a wonder anyone believes anything they say. Benghazi is such a stretch they need the media to make it 24 hr news. As far as the IRS goes, they have had the same employees for years. Are they going to have to take a polygraph? The whole thing smells like an outhouse stuck in the middle of D.C.
