Wade Robson: Michael Jackson Sexually Abused Me From Age 7 to 14 (VIDEO)
The famed choreographer, who began his dancing career at the age of five, tells Matt Lauer he denied Jackson abused him when he testified the pop stars 2005 molestation trial because Jackson manipulated and brainwashed him.
Robson reveals, This is not a case of repressed memory. I never forgot one moment of what Michael did to me But I was psychologically and emotionally unwilling to understand that it was sexual abuse.
He alleges, He sexually abused my from seven years old until 14. He performed sexual acts on me, and forced me to perform sexual acts on him.
Robson says Jackson was an amazing talent, but he was a pedophile.

(46,703 posts)As young children they might say one thing for self-preservation, and only years later when they can deal with what happened, they say another.
I know, in the case of priests, they seem to be giving the benefit of the doubt to the child.

(29,503 posts)So in many cases, one testament is truthful and one is false; in other cases, it's just the opposite.
Once contradicted, it's really difficult to know what is reality and what is make-believe, or even outright lies.

(46,703 posts)In the case of pedophile priests there are usually a number of individuals who come forward, and you also have a track record of the church moving them out of the congregation to keep the church "safe" from litigation.
But in this case it's just one person. What could he hope to gain if he can't prove his case in court?

(29,503 posts)100%, and claims he is an opportunist:

>>Rowe -- reacting to Robson's appearance on "Today" and the 2 legal claims he's filed in court, tells TMZ:
"I was angered that Wade Robson reversed his sworn testimony from court in 2005, and now claims to be a victim of sexual abuse."
Rowe goes on ... "His publicity-seeking attempt is opportunistic and just oozes falseness."<<

(5,465 posts)I think back in Jackson's last trial.... iirc. I dunno, I briefly read this somewhere recently, and my brain is old. At any rate, this is a subjective and triggering thing for me which keeps me at an arms distance re this matter. Off to check my mind, thanks for the response.

(3,251 posts)I can't believe it.
The most chickenshit thing in the world to do is make an unsubstantiated claim about a dead celebrity knowing they can't be sued.

(20,582 posts)To me, Jackson seemed an emotionally stunted, wounded person who seemed to see the goodness of children and animals as something he'd missed out on and valued above all else. I could very well be wrong .

(2,201 posts)Just look at the stuff he spent his money on.........an amusement park, chimps, etc. He seemed like a 10 year old that happened to have millions of dollars.
He might have molested kids....I don't know. But I've never thought it was a slam dunk that he did.

Maybe we can get the Pope to hunt for the real pedophile.

(2,201 posts)but at least he'd have experience hunting for pedophiles. (or at least covering up for them)

(11,464 posts)If someone testifies that nothing happened, I tend to believe that person under oath
If some say that person was paid off then, well, did that person spend it all and needs more now? The gravy train and all that.
If someone pleads guilty once, twice, ten times, twenty times, I tend to believe that person is guilty.
I never heard Michael or OJ plead guilty. NOT ONCE.
In fact, I heard a jury say OJ was 100% NOT guilty aka INNOCENT of all charges.
I do believe in Vegas, OJ was set-up and it was a double jeopardy.
It has nothing to do with his original case, yet he was given a sentence no other person would have been given in Vegas.
in fact, he was offered a deal for 2 years.
The current judge should say time served.
If one believes in the law, one can't be charged twice.
I think Vegas was a miscarraige of justice. I think the lawyer should be disbarred based on what I have read.
Prior has NOTHING to do with Vegas.
Michael is dead. Yet people are making billions off of him. He is worth far more dead than alive.
Leads me to believe he just might have been murdered. (and not by that doctor).
Follow the money trail.
note-I am giving NO opinion or commenting on what the person the article is about associated with Michael is alleging. so don't say I said this or that, when I didn't.
btw,to the pro-Gun, pro-NRA fans- isn't Nevada a concealed carry state? Why isn't the pro-gun people defending OJ being that the gun wasn't used and his life was in danger.
But it shows again, all guns should be out of the hands of private citizens after the 2nd is reinterpreted.
And why didn't the ACLU take up the OJ case? A clear misjustice might have been done, isn't the ACLU suppose to take cases all over the spectrum if there is abuse in the legal system?

(90,674 posts)I live in Santa Barbara County, and our DA tried to follow up on accusations (twice, iirc) against Michael Jackson, whose Neverland Ranch is in the county. It was a complete and utter media circus, and he played his fans for all he was worth. I remember when the case came up for discussion at DU the defense was unbelievably passionate.
As for memories and "not telling", there was a time in my own childhood when I actually fantasized lying to a judge (should I ever be in front of one) about my own abuse in order to protect my family and keep it intact. There was no judge, there was only the great secret, which I kept for 20 years. As Robson said: This is not a case of repressed memory. I never forgot one moment of what (was done) to me."
Children don't think like adults -- and while they want the abuse to stop, they still want to protect the abuser that they are emotionally dependent upon. Adulthood changes perspective, and makes it safer to reveal what happened... Not that anyone but your shrink wants to know, because after all he was such a sweet guy and your revelation just makes the entire family so uncomfortable that they can hardly look at you anymore.
