Check out his bio on Wikipedia. It's quite unusual, shall we say. Another post of mine in a different thread:
42. This is the
link I've been looking for. The guy who was able to bring Adelson on board with Romney. He is the guy who ties AP, Benghazi and Romney together. All we need now is the person at Langley.

(22,541 posts)I want him caught, too. He just happens to be on Judiciary with Issa, so it doesn't get Issa totally off the hook. He's a slimy bastard. But I see him more as money and maybe some movie-making contacts.
Chaffetz? He's the quiet, behind-the-scenes guy. The one nobody notices talking to a reporter. Fuck, nobody even knows who he is outside Utah. Perfect for this little project.

(65,616 posts)Thanks, don't know about smart but like you I always look for the guy/gal trying to stay OUT of the spotlight and we all know Issa LOVES attention...so much so that he might be the leaker...but something tells me it is a silent partner lobbing boulders off a bridge and then running to hide behind Issa.

(22,541 posts)knows he's too obvious. I mean, everybody would look at him first. He was my first thought. But then he knows he would be under a microscope like a dead bug. So, I went looking for a more Mormon-friendly, yet still Adelson-friendly candidate who is on all the right committees and OMG, came up with Chaffetz.

(65,616 posts)I am enjoying this! Nothing more fun than watching the GOP self-destruct.

Issa posted 166 pages of sensitive but unclassified State Department communications related to Libya on the committee's website afternoon as part of his effort to investigate security failures and expose contradictions in the administration's statements regarding the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi that resulted in the death of Amb. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.
