The NRA has become the armed insurgency wing of the Republican party.

It should no longer be viewed as merely a lobbying group or a representative of American voices.

It is supported by self-proclaimed would-be assassins. It uses violent rhetoric as intimidation. It sends out political hit squads for public leaders who do not fall in line.

The National Rifle Association is a clear and present danger to all Americans.

They profit off the proliferation of violence, death and suffering.

The only option we have now is to push back socially and legally until this insurgency is extinguished for good.

Unless the constitution is amended, what those founders wrote is the laws we live by. That's how a constitutional republic works. We can change our government at any time, as long as we have the votes necessary for change. At the moment, we do not. A repeal of the 2nd amendment is impossible. You need 37 states to agree...right now you might get one or two. And you will never get 2/3rds of congress. I doubt youd even get 50%. So we are stuck with it, like it or not.

The founders never intended the 2nd amendment to be used to arm violent felons and emotionally unstable paranoid conspiracy theory mongers.

The NRA is responsible for the re-arming of criminals and the proliferation of anti-American paranoid conspiracy theories. Teabagging NRA members hate America and the liberties won in the civil war- the NRA is not a gun education and safety organization; they are a club for misanthropes that hate life, liberty and our babies. Every NRA member I've ever met turned out to be a cowardly fox "news" consumer and virulent racist.
Good people recognize hate-fueled lies and Americans are starting to recognize these cowardly baby killers for who they are.

Fri May 17, 2013, 08:09 PM

First, if you attempt to come into my house, I'm going to assume you mean my family harm. Yes, I will likely shoot.

Second, yes there are gun nuts. There are also anti-gun nuts. I despise the latter even more than the former. If I were the victim of a gun crime, they would use my misfortune to further their agenda, but if I were to defend myself with a firearm, they would want me imprisoned. They are hypocrites to say the least.

Yes, I believe there is an agenda to completely disarm the populace. I've certainly seen and heard nothing from people like you to dissuade me from that belief.

I also believe the 2nd Amendment gives individuals the rights to bear arms, and I have absolutely no use for people who are so self-righteous they believe that they, in their wisdom, should be able to piss on those constitutional rights.

Again, I truly hope to never have to shoot (or otherwise harm) anyone. I don't hunt, and I don't even shoot for fun. I'm just a realist who believes that firearms are sometimes necessary. Unicorns don't exist. A pot of gold at the end of the rainbow would be a statistical anomaly. Relying on the better part of human nature (which rarely exists in reality) for security is a pipe dream at best, idiocy at worst.

Mr. Ted Fucking Nugent at his finest:

"Nugent also reminded Edwards of comments he made in April of 2012, when he vowed to "either be dead or in jail by this time next year" if Obama was reelected."

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/10/ted-nugent-nra-shoot-somebody-video_n_3052299.html

Now tell me again how the NRA is "no such thing, at all?" Wayne LaPierre is no better, and the newly elected president of the NRA, James "Jim" Porter, is just another KKK asshat promoting gun violence.

The NRA is an anti-American, right-wing, "God and gunz" group, of cold-dead-hands gun fetishists hiding behind and prostituting the Second Amendment of the US Constitution.
