Stories about weather, rough plane landing, and other items, but not about scandals.

The only one that could gain some traction is the AP story, but the corporate news isn't going to say much about that story. They can't have people saying bad things about the Patriot Act, can they?

Perhaps Jonathan Karl has been called on the carpet for making them all look foolish, but I doubt it. They don't mind foolishness from time to time if it helps the larger corporate cause. Hell, that's why they hired that half-witted conservative movement dicknozzle in the first place.
