Madeleine McCann: Police identify 'people of interest' (BBC)

UK detectives reviewing the case of the 2007 disappearance of Madeleine McCann say they have identified "a number of persons of interest".

Madeleine, from Rothley, Leicestershire, was nearly four when she went missing from her family's holiday flat in an Algarve resort.

Scotland Yard said officers were working closely with Portuguese police and considering their next steps.

They denied asking Portuguese police to make any arrests.
