1. I've heard it's going to be a nasty night of tornadoes.

It's really muggy here and you can feel the storms coming our way in a few hours.

And we will be downtown in a movie theater!

10. When we lived in one, the rule was (if a tornado was spotted and there was not time to get out)

to jump in a bathtub with a mattress over you.

Outside of that, it was run outside (yes outside) to the nearest, lowest ditch.

11. My church is a storm shelter during warnings for the community.

We have a place to go.

Its a weird thing, but the local news harps on it every time there's a tornado. After it hits, its best to already have good shoes on, since there will be glass and other sharp stuff everywhere.

8. Yes, I know it is scary.

I live in a mobile home in Georgia. Fortunately, there have been a lot of near hits here in North Georgia. I live in fear every time I hear the tornado sirens going off and there is nowhere to run. Stay safe.

Alot of communities have ad hoc storm shelters. My little community in Auburn, KS opens up a church basement. A trailer is a scary thing if this storm hits.

3. I've been watching the NOAA site

Winds have been howling here in NM since yesterday, so it's not likely to get better downstream tomorrow, keep your eyes and ears open if you live in the midwest.

The storm that's causing a derecho to build in Wisconsin is all the way back in western N. Dakota.
