Came at 6:30 in the morning and I saw it twisting right by. Several homes had major damage. I pray for these people in all they are going through tonight.

The tornado hit May 22, 2011. And here comes the same fear around the same time.

I haven't been able to stop shaking since I saw that story.

I hope that people are safe, but that comes from being alert and planning ahead.

I lived in Wichita for 18 years. I always had a radio tuned to KFDI and knew where to go if things started getting hairy. I ducked and covered a few times. I knew more than a few people who lost their homes.

Knowing what to do is what saves lives.

Stay safe Midwesterners.
