Ted Rall was the first non-Republican-shill of a cartoonist I saw who savagely criticized President Obama and his Party's leadership. At first I resented what he was doing. Now, not so much.

If someone doesn't let Democrats see their mistakes, how can we hope they will ever improve?

5. Rall has made trips to Afghanistan and neighboring countries without military assistance

and has reported the facts as he's found them instead of repeating press releases.
I admire the guy and he's been consistent throughout his career.

9. He does go over-the-top sometimes

He has included Obama's children in some of his toons, and I can't support that. But he is clearly passionate, and pissed off, about the rightward movement of this country. Mr. Fish is another cartoonist who goes to the line, and sometimes over it. But this toon is exactly on target.
