SHOCK POLL: Jim Graves (D) leading Michele Bachmann (R) in MN-6 PPP poll

SHOCK POLL: Jim Graves (D) leading Michele Bachmann (R) in MN-6 PPP poll

by DownstateDemocrat

I just saw this on Talking Points Memo:

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) could be in for an extremely tight re-election contest next year if a poll released Monday is any indication.

The latest survey from Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling showed Democratic hotel magnate Jim Graves edging Bachmann among voters in Minnesota' Sixth Congressional District 47 percent to 45 percent. Graves announced recently that he will challenge Bachmann once again next year after falling to the tea party champion in a close race last year.

Facing a campaign finance investigation, Bachmann has been pegged as one of the leading Democratic targets in 2014. The poll, which was reported on by Politico, was conducted May 15 using automated phone interviews with 500 voters. It has a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.

Yes, you read that correctly...in a district that voted for Mitt Romney by double digits in last year's presidential race, Republican incumbent Michele Bachmann is trailing her Democratic challenger, Jim Graves, who is running against Bachmann again after narrowly losing to her last year, with a year and a half until the next election in the 6th Congressional District of Minnesota.

First, the reason why Bachmann barely won re-election to Congress last year is because she is an overt right-wing extremist who has a long history of making controversial statements.

Second, there is an ongoing ethics investigation into alleged illegal activity that went on in Bachmann's failed bid for the Republican Party's presidential nomination in 2012.

Michele Bachmann will have a real race on her hands in 2014, and we are on the verge of defeating Bachmann in her home district!

Until he wins. That's a bad apple that's gotta gotta gotta go. Cross fingers the people of that district can get rid of her.

for 2014. If Crazy-Eyes Bachmann thinks she'll actually lose, she'll withdraw, I think, and take up residence on the screens of Fox News viewers. Losing is not an option for her. She only beat Graves by about 1% in 2012.

That said, Jim Graves is not the most progressive Democrat on the planet, but that's a staunch conservative district, so a win by any Democrat will be more than worthwhile.

Seeya, Crazy-Eyes!

Give her that kind of exposure, and even the Teahadii will be axing "WTF did she just say?" As a Congresscritter her word-salad has been politely edited.

Look for her to show up for another four years as a Faux correspondent.

Take out a few more, and the Pauls, Ryan and Randy, aren't going to have enough crazy to distract from what they want to do to us.
