I lived in Oklahoma for 8 years and consider it home. People, my friends and loved ones, are really suffering.

It would do a few people good to remember that. Some of the comments have left me speechless. In a situation like this, a person's political persuasion means absolutely nothing.

and I could almost guarantee you that I have relatives that were affected by this.

And you know what? I don't give a shit who they voted for, they don't deserve this.

10. I don't know anyone in Oklahoma

but have driven through there a number of times. On one trip I stopped at a rest stop and as I was walking to the restrooms I noticed a fire hydrant and a big log out in the grass. Each had a sign by them. I walked over and the sign at the fire hydrant said "City Dog" and the log had a sign that said "Country Dog." It gave me a much needed laugh on a long, hard trip. I have to love a state with a sense of humor.

A community was wiped out, maybe more than one. Children died in their school. Hearts have been broken.

I hope that the help that is on the way arrives soon and in abundance, as it is so needed.

Didn't sleep much...but of course when I did close my eyes, I slept through my alarm and will miss my flight at 630. Ah well.
