(11,360 posts)I get that there are people who call for reasons that are not legitimate, but to automatically assume the nobody calls for a valid reason is just going to alienate parents.

I was on the Local School Council when my sons were in the 1st grade in Chicago. Believe me, nothing is ever the parent's and the little darling's fault.

(47,397 posts)Though I found the message clever and amusing, if I called a school regarding my children (now grown), I probably would have been offended. Making parents the enemy is just as bad as making teachers the enemy. Developing positive relationships between parents and school staff should be the goal, not accusing each other of failure and negligence.

As a joke it's pretty funny, but I agree with others, that would be pretty lousy for a real message.
