I get that there are people who call for reasons that are not legitimate, but to automatically assume the nobody calls for a valid reason is just going to alienate parents.

this message based on the majority of the calls they get.

I was on the Local School Council when my sons were in the 1st grade in Chicago. Believe me, nothing is ever the parent's and the little darling's fault.

If I were calling the school to volunteer to supervise a field trip or something, I would not want to hear this message.

Though I found the message clever and amusing, if I called a school regarding my children (now grown), I probably would have been offended. Making parents the enemy is just as bad as making teachers the enemy. Developing positive relationships between parents and school staff should be the goal, not accusing each other of failure and negligence.

That may be a joke. If it's real, I will love it if they don't get fired for hit (which would happen in the US pronto)

Or is "messege" how they spell it down under? (not to mention several others I noticed)

As a joke it's pretty funny, but I agree with others, that would be pretty lousy for a real message.

Eleven days left in the year. That message seems closer to reality than you think.
