http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/lizz-winstead-apologizes-oklahoma-tornado-526220"Made a political joke, Twas before devastation revealed. In hindsight, had I understood, I would have refrained. Beyond sorry, #LetMeHaveIt," she wrote to a now smaller group of subscribers.
Further mea culpas followed -- "It's worth giving me sh-t. I was an idiot," she wrote -- accompanied by a stream of links to help tornado victims.
I always liked her and I forgive her as she did the right thing by apologizing, which is more than I can say for some folks.

(15,189 posts)I think MSNBC should no longer have her on period. Let her go to CNN. I like her too, but she never should have opened her mouth about politics when it comes to disaster.

(12,723 posts)I remember when she and Craig Kilborn were fighting. In fact, whatever she has been doing since she left the show is a mystery to me.

(15,189 posts)Yes it was a good apology, but she still should have known better. IMO

(1,135 posts)it wasn't a thought, that many of us didn't think ourselves for a moment....
But I appreciate her clear apology and integrity. Like others have said, the right rarely gives a forthright apology for anything.
