If there is a warning in your area go to shelter!

Don't wait, just go. Error on the side of caution.

Warring out but storm like 30+ min. away? Get family and pets now and go. This time is a gift.

Please! Don't wait, don't go out and look, use this time to get in safety.

Take my word for it, even if it does not happen, you will not be sorry.

In disaster events, I think of DUers I know who live in the affected areas, and I want to hear that they're okay after the event. It's great to have eyewitness reports from DU members, but I don't want anyone to take unnecessary risks when things start to get dicey. That's just not worth it, and their safety is paramount.
