Supposedly La Quinta has set up a system to accept such donations.

1. K/R great idea, but other chains have to get involved.

Hotels aren't typically set up to apply one person's points to another person's stay.

But there's opportunity there for a few big chains. The Hilton family of properties, for example, covers Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, Embassy, and Hiltons.

One act from HQ could make all of them take other peoples' points.

Marriott is another group with hotels of different names, and Starwood is another and runs Westin, Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton, and others.

Quality Inn, Comfort Suites, and others. Exactly the kind of place we're looking for! And I may even have a few hundred points to kick in, from Mom's last visit here.
