Josh "Randy" Sullivan is a Cardinals fan and the author of the wildly offensive and little-read Twitter feed Birds On Bats. But you might recognize him from this photograph, taken at an Iraq War counter-protest in 2004, which shortly thereafter became an internet sensation.

‒I can't talk about that. I'm in the process of suing that photographer and a bunch of internet people, if I can find a lawyer who'll represent me. [To tape recorder] If anyone listening to this is a lawyer or an attorney, please contact my twitter so I can sue somebody.

(81,239 posts)Glad you're here! I LOVE this photo! What a maroon!
Reminds me of an early Peanuts comic strip wherein, as I recall, Lucy was trying to impress Schroeder, and wound up making a food of herself. And the final panel features her, lamenting "I'm never quite so stupid as when I'm being smart."

(12,151 posts)I cannot imagine how a comedy sketch designed to mock our ... less thoughtful rightwing brethren would change one word of that exchange.
And yet, I cannot see any flashing "satire" sign anywhere.
I mean, this isn't mere comedy gold.
So you support the team no matter what?
Well, put it this way. If we're unhappy we'll leave the game early to show our displeasure. Also, we might not even show up at all if we're not in first place.
This is like platinum-plated comedy gold. It's juuuuust short of unbelievable. The comments seem to be asking the same question:
Oh. My. God.
this is gold

If this is real, it's going to spawn it's own satirical multimedia industry. Or it should.
If it's not, please tell us now.
Still great, either way.

(12,151 posts)proof. The column is from a seemingly straight sports site. Every link or reference that comes up is treating it as a straight story.
Maybe it's a mixture, and the guy is creating some kind of Cable Guy - esque character in hopes of becoming a star.
It really is a little too much, but then again it's not far off.
Be interesting to see what else comes out.
