http://domainnamewire.com/2013/05/23/ron-paul-loses-dispute-ronpaul-com-and-ronpaul/Ron Paul has lost two separate domain name disputes filed with the World Intellectual Property Organization.
The two cases covered RonPaul.com and RonPaul.org, and were part of a public spat between the domain owners, who say they are Ron Paul supporters, and the politician.
The owner of RonPaul.com offered to sell the domain name to Paul, or to give him the .org version for free. The domain owner claimed the value it was seeking in the sale was from its mailing list of Ron Paul supporters.
... In the case of RonPaul.org, Paul was found guilty of reverse domain name hijacking.

(36,649 posts)3. "fuckronpaul.com is already registered, but these options are available:"
It redirects to www.dailypaul.com, and a forum thread about this case.
The first entry says:
"If someone else named Ron Paul owned it they would have a legal right to hold it. The terms of buying a domain with a possible trademark violation is "bad faith." Misrepresenting yourself as the trademarked entity or criticizing it can be interpreted as bad faith. Being Ron Paul the food blogger would be a safe from losing the domain. What they are doing at RonPaul.com can be interpreted as bad faith. When we buy domain names we aren't subject to U.S. law. Freedom of speech goes out the window in that respect."
Gee, I guess they don't believe in capitalism & the free market, huh?
