Mayor Crack Scandal Now Possibly Tied to Murder
Up until now every day seems to bring a new revelation of Torontos fun-loving politics and drug underworld family, the Fords. Yesterday, after calling the Toronto media a bunch of maggots, Mayor Rob Ford denied the very existence of the purported video at the center of the evolving scandal. But today, the Globe and Mail reports the story is moving to a whole new and potentially terrifying level - much more serious but no less bizarre.
Two sources have confirmed to the paper that Toronto police last week interviewed a senior member of Mayor Fords staff in regards to a murder that may be related to the video of Mayor Ford smoking crack.
The details are a little complicated here so bear with me.
From the beginning of the scandal, claims about the existence of the video have been tied to a photo of Ford with a man named Anthony Smith, a 21 one year old Torontonian who was gunned down back in March. The new theory is that Smith was originally the owner of the video (perhaps the one who made it?) and that his murder was tied to his possession of it.

(12,704 posts)a of surrounding suburbs ans borough. It was pushed through by a rabid rightwing premier of the province with the intention to crush the power of the the extremely progressive old city of Toronto. What was Toronto before amalgamation didn't vote for the crackhead, Ford got voted in by what were the burbs.
This story gets better by the minute. Today Ford comes in to his office to find the his communications spokesperson and his deputy quit as a matter of principle (what that principles is is not yet know). The two men cleared out their offices over the weekend and left letters on the mayors desk. The mayor got wind of this and was begging them to stay and the mayor was seen wandering around the his offices looking for the men before it dawned on him they already left. Check out this priceless photo of Ford arriving to work today.

(12,704 posts)another story that another paper the Globe and Mail has been working on for 18 months about the mayor's brother who is a city councillor with ambitions to become premier of the province. The story that broke over the weekend states that the brother was a big time hash dealer in the 80s. Furthermore his alleged partner from back then recently was hired by the mayor in some untold capacity. Another brother was charged with kidnapping relating to drug selling and the sister was involved with an infamous White Supremacist named Droege. Then today a murder in the building where the alleged cracksmoking took place.

(60,010 posts)something about Mayor hiring former? current? football friends to jobs in the Mayor's office..
Mayor Rob Ford, who was dismissed as head football coach at Don Bosco Catholic Secondary on Wednesday, has hired one of his assistant coaches and former players to work in the mayors office.
Xhejsi Hasko, known as J.C., started on the job on May 13. His title is special assistant.
Hasko is also listed as an assistant coach on Don Boscos playoff game rosters from 2012.
Hasko is the third former Varsity Blues player Ford has added to the city payroll since he was elected mayor. Andrew Gillis, U of Ts former quarterback, worked as a special assistant for Ford in 2012 before leaving to play professional football in France. Michael Prempeh, another special assistant, also played at U of T.
