As you can see, they're both doing well, both love Ashley, and the feeling is mutual. Beau is very shy, and it took a 3-day weekend of attention to get him to not run from me. I think it's because he was older when I got him, and therefore without human contact longer. He's very sweet, though, never uses his claws at all and is back to purring when I do hold him. No sign of the upper respiratory on either, so knock on wood they're both completely over that.

I'm glad they're all doing well.

(56,177 posts)They all adjusted to each other quickly.
I have a fourth, India, who is almost 19...she tolerates them, but wants to be mainly left alone!

(16,993 posts)None of the three look like they have a care in the world--and that's the only way it should ever be for them!
Thanks for the pics and the update!!

(56,177 posts)I think they know it, too, especially Sam and Ashley who really are affectionate with me.

(56,177 posts)He'll love him...Ashley is a year and a half and really needed a playmate, now he has 2!

(56,177 posts)There are 2 more litters in different locations I've come across...I've go to start making some phone calls before I catch them...no room!

(8,142 posts)We have a house just behind ours and the lady 13 cats and 17 kittens living in the backyard, feeding them by dumping a bag of dog food out her window every so often. Over a weeks time we were able to catch all of them. We had all of the adults fixed, found two dead kittens, had to have one put down but were able to find homes for the rest. One of them we have now a year and a half later. She's best friends with our three year old female German Shepherd.

(56,177 posts)I caught the Mom and had her fixed a week ago, and as they did her, they realized she was lactacting, so she went back sooner than the normal recovery period, so while having so many kittens isn't good, I'm glad this group was old enough to make it while she was gone for about a day and a half.

(56,177 posts)You really see how many there are...they can hide well, but you start realizing where you should look...I guess it's not funny, but sad, really.

(10,749 posts)These guys are (almost) as cute as my kitties. Not to sound too much like a pollyanna, we humans can learn a thing or two from our feline friends.

(56,177 posts)he'd see another cat outside (I fede quite a few strays/ferals) and he'd run and try to play, even with the big mean Toms...then I'd have to go grab him and bring him inside.
