Yanno . . . all this yammering about how far right the repubs have gone . . . . .
Think about this: The Democrats today are comparable to the repubicans of a decade or two ago.
I am just guessing, but I think it could be in part because the "Eisenhower repubicans" found a home in the Democratic Party and did so when all this run to the right shit started.
