mpaign and most to the Pubs. I went to JH's site (Jimhightowerlowdown.org) and checkerd the list of donors. Here's a link to his site. http://www.hightowerlowdown.org/node/3321#supermarkets Go down a bit on the dite and you'll see a breakdown of the different large donors, not only supermarkets, but many different businesses.
I was prepared to write to Publix, where I usually shop, and tell them that they lost a good, long time customer because of their political support, but the other supermarkets here are also on the damn list! What do I do now?

(45,806 posts)BTW, I don't really have a choice of not shopping at supermarkets. There are NO mo & pop grocery stores here at all! There are a few individual meat markets, and I guess I could get most of everything else at places like Target, but I'm not so sure that Target isn't as supportive of the Pubs as WM is.

What I'd do is look at the way they treat employees if I can't avoid the stores completely. I've heard Publix actually has good employee relations like Costco. I don't know if that's true or not but is worth looking into.

I gues you're all right...I'm looking for a Dem. supporting supermarket and there just isn't one. I am a member of ostco which does support Dems, but there's only two of us so I can't do all my shopping there.
