The world's largest radio company is now apologizing to companies whose ads are airing on the world's biggest radio star's program.
This week multiple Flush Rush Facebook volunteers received the following letter, forwarded by a casino whose ads were airing on the Rush Limbaugh Show in Sacramento against its will:

It's also my opinion that one doesn't rise to prominence within the CC organization without possessing a smarmy skill set.

Ouch! And yeah, it sounds like lawyer talk in case anyone at the Casino wants to sue.

(24,135 posts)The worst job at a station(s) is the traffic director - who has sales reps constantly hanging around - do this, do that. As a former media buyer who then worked in radio - these kinds of mistakes happen. You can't bill a client for ads they specifically requested not to be in a show. The client could a) not pay for those ads, or b) get a bunch of make up ads to make up for the mistake.
It's been a while, but I would think ads that run on the internet(s) streams are either bonus or minimal in price due to the small audience.
No conspiracy here.

(14,157 posts)and tarnish to their image/brand, a company who has expressly stated they do not want their ads airing during Rush's shows has a good case for a lawsuit. A bunch of makeup ads may not always be adequate compensation for the PR nightmare the company may face. The company has to explain to their customers that the advertising appeared in error. That may satisfy one set of customers, but might ignite protest from customers that enjoy Rush's crappy show.

This all seems like we're missing something. All this backlash against him, and he is still bloviating every day. I don't get it.

(3,795 posts)He is probably the best at dividing the nation successfully with bitterness and hatred.
He is the best tool of the plutocratic regime. As such, he will be subsidized by fascist interests to keep on doing what he has
successfully been doing.
