This commercial from McDonald's in Germany didn't make it to the TV airwaves because Burger King found it "degrading," reports Ad Age. In the commercial a young boy keeps getting his McDonald's food stolen by older boys while sitting in a skate park, until he conceals his food by putting behind a less enticing Burger King bag.

Burger King's statement:

McDonald's has broken the rules of comparative advertising by degrading the Burger King brand in the TV commercial 'Packaging.' McDonald's and Burger King have agreed that [the spot's] distribution and broadcast ... will be stopped.

McDonald's hadn't approved this commercial made by ad agencies Tribal DDB and Heye & Partners.

American fast food in Germany tastes better than it does in America.

Not a fan of either food joints but did want to see if there was a difference and there was...a huge difference. Taste better, looks better...far fresher...in Germany.
