(84,711 posts)I'm thinking it will be John Huntsman. They are talking him up at Bloomberg Business.. He has support of the Euro-Asian Group and experience with China. Obama will get his TPP Trade Agreement through...and will want a Repug Lite to carry through the policies he's put in place.
I'll speculate Huntman/Bloomberg Ticket. I think the stench of Bushies and War will still rule out Jeb Bush...and Repugs went so far Crazy Left they will pull back.
This is my WAY OUT SPECULATION. It's too early...yet. But...to see Business Community putting out their push early...makes me speculate.
Huntsman is friendly with Obama and he's Mormon Light. Has attractive family.
Neither would be my choice...but, I'm not for repeat of Clinton because Dynasty reminds me of Bushies and I don't see anyone on Dem side that can compete with Obama's Charisma. Plus...the statistics of change after 8 years of one party rule.

(10,578 posts)I agree 100%. It is pretty clear that Rand Paul wants to run for President, by making stops in Iowa and New Hampshire and speaking at the Reagan Library, and his chances of being the nominee have gone up drastically over the past few months, especially with Benghazi and his filibuster. Support for Rubio has gone down ever since he started working with the Democrats on immigration reform, Paul Ryan has always kind of gotten lukewarm support, and most Republicans outside of the east coast look at Christie suspiciously because of his working relationship with Obama.

(966 posts)I live in rural Pennsylvania, and I see where there could potentially be a lot of problems for the Democrats down the road in rural areas, mainly with holding onto House and Senate seats. I think Hillary as the nominee in 2016 would bring many rural voters back to the Democratic party. I also think Martin O'Malley has been a great Governor in Maryland, and I would like to see him as either President or Vice-President one day.

(18,458 posts)I would easily pick Warren over Clinton. She's further to the left and doesn't pander to the center. Perhaps we could push for single payer.
