(56,582 posts)I'm still not. Remember, we don't know if he was also Greenwald's source for the warrant, even. We just have a PowerPoint and some stories.

(37,433 posts)The company is held to the national security requirements and hold the employee to the same requirements. They pass the legal liability through and follow the same rules that their contracting agency would impose.
I worked for a translation company that did NASA and corporate work. Nothing involving very much national security. Still some had some sort of security clearance associated with it. We had the same obligations and liability that the NASA translators had. The difference was that we worked by the job, when NASA had more work than their staffers could handle. (Which was pretty much all the time.)

(12,151 posts)topic. Obama promised more transparency around secret surveillance, and instead the administration has doubled down on Bush's theory that we cannot even see the rulings where, for, instance, it was determined the Constitution was being violated.

(9,565 posts)we're going to find out that he took this job with the intention of doing this.
I can't find the link to the story about the organization formed six months ago that is behind this. I don't know if it was in Latest Breaking or Gen discussion but I've looked through both. Thanks if you can help

(31,454 posts)Was he put up to this by Greenwald?
And why flee to Communist China? He claims that he can't live in a country where his communications might be monitored, but then flees to the bedrock country of State owned media. A country that is known for hacking into American businesses, our news outlets, and our Defense Dept. If he's not actually in collusion with some foreign entity, I bet they're itching to get their hands on him, as he may prove to be a very valuable asset.
I think the initial praise for this guy, especially in this country, will soon begin to be questioned by the praisers. As the "bombshell" is subsiding, the media is now getting around to developing a portrait of Mr. Snowden, and some serious questions are finally being raised about him, and they're exploring motives other than the ones he's stated to Greenwald.

(3,118 posts)- when he was appointed a major in the Virginia provincial militia in February 1753. Virginia was part of the colonies at that time and was under British rule. George would have sworn his allegiance not only to the colony of Virginia, but to Mother England.
Was George a Patriot or a traitor? Just think where we'd be today had he upheld his allegiances to England.

(30,058 posts)Judge in determining whether the work performed was nit legal? Perhaps he was so stupid, does not excuse him from realizing he was doing wrong to divulge sensitive information to a foreign news source. He is out and out a,criminal. He knew it was bad enough to run so he had some understanding of his actions.
