MILWAUKEE Three kittens are recovering after being tossed in a garbage can over the weekend.
For almost 20 years, Pat Haberski has been caring for stray, unwanted and abandoned cats at Milwaukee's Happy Endings No Kill Cat Shelter.
She's the president and board member, and Saturday, three young women showed up and reaffirmed her work.
Someone threw three 5-week-old kittens into a garbage can in Muskego.

Then again, there's a lot of two legged human garbage out there. At least they don't look ill fed or abused.

(4,003 posts)about 3 years ago. They were about 3 maybe two weeks old. While digging them out of the garbage, their sibling was heard a few feet away on top of an ant pile. It wasn't pretty. I figured it was a lost cause, but all three survived.
They are part Maine coon. It's a never ending struggle to control the cat fur, but I wouldn't trade them for anything.

(30,947 posts)Poor little things were sitting there with their heads down. They were just babies. I am not a cat person, but I took them in and fortunately found homes for them. They had eye and respiratory infections. And another time, someone dumped a kitten in my back yard and I found a home for it.
