Sky and BBC have both got reporters on the spot and have both show live footage although I guess it will be dark there now.

when the cops rousted people sleeping in the square.

This whole business is so dismally familiar: peaceful demonstrators, riot cops bashing heads and destroying property, streets thick with poison gas.

It's war, folks, and it's worldwide. It's not just one government, it's all of them turning on their citizens.

I'm afraid we're living in interesting times. I was hoping for a little boredom before I shuffle off this mortal coil, but I doubt this will be the case.
