(13,640 posts)you be able to find a jury without a Trump sympathizer . All it takes in one cultist to hang a jury.
There will be enough charges against him, I earnestly hope, that even if a trial is disrupted by one of his moron minions, another will rise up to properly judge him as the criminal the world knows him to be.
Until the last felony trial is usurped by a Trump fanatic, I will keep hoping that he will be sentenced to prison. True, he may never actually go to prison, but an ankle bracelet on his plump and droopy flesh will satisfy me --- at least a little bit. But the fact is this man is not going to prison. Found guilty, he will plead age and infirmity. Personally, Id say lock him up anyway. But the optics of the Democrats (who will take the blame) sending a broken and sick old man to prison despite pleas for merciful treatment will be bad. So, even if a judge and jury insists he go to prison, the Dems may well ask for mercy, for home detention. (I just vomited in my mouth thinking about it.)

(60,838 posts)Not to mention, if there actually is a trial, the trial - in and of itself - will be jarring to a Trump used to being the most powerful man in the world. He did face Biden challenging him for various things, but he may have mentally distanced that as not being "about him", but political. (Not sure that makes sense)
Here, even if it turns out the case is not strong or that there are some Trump partisan's on the jury, the experience itself if it happens will be very unpleasant. The same with any financial crimes trials that may happen led by Vance or James.

(20,661 posts)the idea of tying him up in court (with extremely legitimate charges) for every single day he remains on this earth taking a breath, is beyond tempting.
Just to let him know that his idea of wanting to become President was one of the worst decisions in the history of the world.
